Win the Battle Lose the War

The American public is being subjected to political history. As election day draws closer and closer, the democratic nominees for our great nation’s presidential seat are embattled in a war of attrition. The mud slinging is reminiscent of elections when votes were won by force and politicians were ruthless. The fact that two Democrats are so divided on issues and platform, create a windfall of opportunity for the Republican candidacy. Because the republican ticket seems uncontested, the leading republican candidate marches on to what may be a victory designed by the division of the democratic party. The historical significance of this presidential election will be muddled on the very essence of democracy. It is the right of each candidate to believe in his or her ability to lead the American people. The fact remains that our nation was built on the principals of democracy and two candidates in one party offer a true choice. The two party system offers the American voters opportunity to choose the elected official that he or she believes will govern and lead the nation to prosperity. When all the votes are counted the winner will come from a united party Democratic or Republican. History will forever bear witness to the election of the president of this country. The two democratic nominees have already made history. How they will be remembered, is a different story. It would be a shame to see the last vote torn in half between the two nominees. This would hand over the election to the republican party. In the end, it all comes down to one vote, and its that vote that changes the future of this Nation.

WIN THE BATTLE LOSE THE WAR
COMMENTARY

I read through numerous blogs in search of a posting to comment on. I found a lot of them very difficult to read. Maybe this is because I went to school before there were computers and spell-check. But, when “whether I go or not” is spelled “weather I go or not”, I am left wondering if they remembered to take an umbrella. However, there was a posting that struck my eye. It was entitled “Win the Battle Lose the War” and was posted by Texas Girl on the Blog “My American View”. I was very impressed by the author’s insight and her ability to write. She not only knows the historical significance of this election but the piece had good sentence structure, correct punctuation and tenses, along with accurate spelling. This author also realizes the magnitude of the story behind the election and that the conduct of the candidates will be remembered far beyond November 4th, 2008. I also agree with her comment that, because of the way the democrats have conducted themselves this race may very well be handed over to the Republicans. In the end they will be seen as the lesser of two evils.

As I read this article “Win the battle Lose the War” I finally see someone who agrees with what I have been saying this whole time. This article clearly explains the dividing situation between the two democratic parties. Also by reading her entry you have to ask yourself what will the final vote be in the end if our two democratic candidates remain in this divided attack? I totally agree with Texas Girl. The two democratic nominees have already made history and will defiantly be remembered. But like Texas Girls says it’s how they will be remembered that will make the difference.

I read this article”Win the Battle Lose the War” and I agree with the author about both, present influence and the future impact of 2008 elections. Both of the democratic nominees are poring so much dirt on each other, that even true democrats will think twice before going for either one. All throughout history of the united sates, if one party made bad choices repeatedly while in presidency, then that party usually got replaced with the other one, because people believed that the second party will fix all of the first party’s mistakes. In this instance Republican Party lead us into unwanted war and economic recession, and you would think that they would get replaced by Democratic Party, who would fix everything. Think again. Democratic Party makes itself more and more unpopular with the American public, so by the time the elections come, we might even strongly consider leaving Republicans in charge.
